EBU confirms its full confidence in PBS

“PBS has the full backing of the EBU in producing an excellent show tomorrow night”. This was the main statement given by EBU Executive Supervisor for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, Mr. Vladislav Yakovlev when asked by escXtra.com during a press conference following the second dress rehearsal. Infact, EBU confirmed it’s full confidence in this year’s Junior Eurovision host broadcaster, PBS.
As expected in a press conference addressed also by Mr. Anton Attard (Executive Producer for the 2014 Junior Eurovision Song Contest and PBS Chief Executive), an explanation of the technical fault that occurred during Bulgaria’s performance was given.
Attard stated that the power cut happened due to a technical problem in a generator which tripped. He assured everyone that the show could start within minutes. However, PBS wanted to check all the grid systems and take into consideration all the safety aspects.
All delegations were informed by the ongoing developments every five minutes and Yakovlev confirmed that so far there were no complaints. The jury that was voting tonight took everything into consideration and both EBU and PBS are in good spirits to present you a big show tomorrow night. The Junior Eurovision Song Contest will start at 19:00 CET on Saturday.
