Amber’s ‘Warrior’ bound for Vienna

Amber has secured a ticket to Vienna with a runaway victory in the Maltese national final tonight, gaining all possible douzes.
The Malta Eurovision Song Contest, the marathon that, traditionally, selects their Eurovision entry was held between yesterday and today and a combination of televote and jury vote has determined that Amber will have the honour of representing the country in Vienna. Ahead of the final, escXtra spoke to Amber at Malta Shipbuilding regarding the thinking behind her song and its staging.
Amber Bondin is 22 and was competing in her fifth consecutive national final. She already has experience of the Eurovision stage, having been a backing singer for Kurt Calleja in 2012.
The song is ‘Warrior’ and you can see the performance from yesterday’s semifinal below. Malta has qualified to the Eurovision final for the last three years. Will Amber be able to continue that streak?
