There are as always a few familiar faces among the lineup. Malcolm Lincoln frontman Robin Juhketal returns after his last Eesti Laul attempt in 2012. Traffic (2008, 2009, 2012, 2014) and Outloudz (2011) member Stig Rästa is back again performing a duet with Elina Born who also took part in Eesti Laul 2013. Season 1 Estonian Idol runner up Luisa Värk who sang with Traffic in 2008 is also back causing much interest as she is currently the partner of the Prime Minister of Estonia. Wilhelm and NimmerSchmidt who debuted in the 2014 Eesti Laul have also returned.
At least half of the songs will be performed in the Estonian language, keeping up the trend of having roughly equal representation of English and Estonian in the contest.
The 20 were hand picked from the 219 entries that were submitted to ERR on Monday. Among the panel selecting the entry was not only delegation heads Heidy Purga and Mart Nomets but former participant Lenna along with Soviet era Estonian pop legend Anne Veski and a number of local radio personalities.
Furthermore, it was today announced tickets to the final are now on sale and can be purchased here and here and will cost €25.50, but can be purchased for €20.50 during the month of December as a special Christmas promotion.
