Conchita invited to the Golden Globes

Winner of Eurovision 2014, Conchita Wurst, seems to be developing a bit of a chamaleonic personality. She has gone from singer (and winner of Europe’s hearts) to UN ambassador and now has been invited to appear at the Golden Globes 2015.
Conchita’s invitation has been made possible by Barbara Gasser, an Austrian journalist who is a member of the Hollywood Foreign Press (the organisation in charge of awarding the Golden Globes). She has reportedly said that she is delighted that Conchita will be making her first Hollywood appearance at the Golden Globes and that she is sure that she will have the cinema capital at her feet.
Conchita will now briefly interrupt the promotion of her album to travel to the Los Angeles. However, she has said that, given that she has learnt that she already has some fans in the United States she will be delighted to meet with them. Further, she seems to be really excited about this opportunity, which is evident from her statements:

A little taste of Hollywood air! Who doesn’t dream of that? I’m really looking forward to meeting exciting and interesting people in Los Angeles. Hollywood, here I come!

Conchita will join Christoph Waltz as Austrian ambassadors in the ceremony, as the Academy Award winner (‘Inglorious Bastards’, 2009 and ‘Django Unchained’ 2012) has been nominated for a Golden Globe in the category of Best Actor – Motion Picture Musical or Comedy for his role in ‘Big Eyes’. This is his third Golden Globe nomination, and he has won the previous two in the same years he won the Academy Awards.
The Golden Globes ceremony will take place on 11 January 2015 at the Beverly Hilton hotel, in Bevely Hills, where they have been held annually since 1961.
