The first semi-final of the fifty-third Festivali i Këngës was held tonight with thirteen artists competing for nine spots in the Grand Final. The qualifiers are shown below in bold and were announced in no particular order.

- Julian Gjojdeshi – Himn i jetës
- Sigi Bastri & Florent Abrashi – Eklips mbi oqean
- Marsela Çibukaj – S’muj
- Saimir Braho – Kristal
- Klajdi Musabelliu – Vetëm te ti besoj
- Erga Halilaj – Ti s’më njeh
- Besiana Mehmedi & Shkodran Tolaj – Kështjella
- Estela Brahimllari – Kjo natë
- Lindita Halimi – S’të fal
- Offchestra – Bajram
- Venera Lumani – Dua të jetoj
The qualifiers were selected by the jury of musical professionals and the ‘pop jury’. Many of the pre-event favourites qualified, although contemporary offerings from Revolt Klan and Offchestra failed to impress despite the revamp of the jury system.
