Elhaida Dani will represent Albania at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, Austria. After three nights of the fifty-third annual Festivali i Këngës and a battle between 18 songs, the jury gave Elhaida 82 points, a clear win, ahead of Bojken Lako Band and Linda Halimi.
Elhaida is 21 and comes from Shkodra, a city in northern Albania. She gained national fame after winning Star Academy Albania. However, after aiming an international career, Elhaida participated at various music events around the Balkans. In late-2012, she joined the first season of The Voice of Italy. In May 2013, she won the show with 72% of the vote.
Diell (Sun) was composed by Aldo Shllaku, and written by Sokol Marsi and Viola Trebicka. This was Elhaida’s second attempt to represent Albania in Eurovision.
