DR have announced that in a change to their traditional formula, full versions of the songs taking part in this year’s Melodi Grand Prix can be heard two weeks before the national final itself as opposed to 30 second snippet clips which fans were teased with in previous years.
On 26th January, DR will announce the artists taking part in the competition and simultaneously upload the entries in full to YouTube. As well as being available on the popular video streaming site, the songs will be available both on CD and through music streaming websites.
DR’s entertainment chief, Jan Lagermand Lundme spoke of this decision in saying
“We have chosen to issue all of this year songs in full length in advance to ensure as many people as possible get the chance to become familiar with them before the show”
Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2015 will take place on 7th February in Aalborg.
