It had already been known for a couple of days, but now Danish broadcaster DR has officially confirmed the ten names taking part in Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2015. The names are, logically, exactly the same as those circulating around the web this weekend.
DR learnt a hard lesson when it turned out that people who pre-ordered the album actually got their albums delivered on Saturday, which took the word ‘punctual’ to a whole other level. Find the ten acts below:
- Sara Sukurani – Love Me Love Me
- Tina & René – Mi Amore
- Marcel & Soulman Group – Når Veje Krydses
- Cecilie Alexandra – Hotel A
- Andy Roda – Love Is Love
- Julie Bjerre – Tæt På Mine Drømme
- Anti Social Media – The Way You Are
- Anne Gadegaard – Suitcase
- Babou – Manjana
- World of Girls – Summer Without You
Among these names, there are some familiar ones. Anne Gadegaard was the 2003 entrant to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest for Denmark. Both Marcel and Andy Roda were backing vocals for Basim in Copenhagen. There are also famous composers: Julie Bjerre’s song was composed by Lise Cabble, who composed three Danish entries before (Fra Mols Til Skagen, New Tomorrow and Only Teardrops). Thomas G:son is the composer behind Tina & René’s song.
Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2015 will take place in the Gigantium in Aalborg. The show is scheduled for 7 February.
