Vienna 2015

Shows in Cyprus and Latvia!

Another multishow Eurovision night today as we’ll see two shows tonight! Cyprus is ending their Eurovision marathon and will decide who’s flying their flag in Vienna. Latvia on the other hand is debuting their new format Supernova!
Cyprus

  • What: Eurovision Project 2015
  • Start: 20.30 CET
  • Broadcast: RIK1 & RIKSAT

After weeks of finding the perfect entry for the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest, the Cypriot Eurovision Project is coming to an end. Nine weeks of selecting and elimating will be over after tonight. Six acts have remained after starting with sixty at the beginning of their search. You will be able to follow the show via Eurovision.tv! It’s still anyone’s game in Cyprus, with Doody, Nearchos&Charis, Minus One and Panagiotis Koufogiannis all being mentioned to be the favourites. That leaves John Karayiannis and Hovig, who also cannot be underestimated. In short: A really interesting and open show in Cyprus!
The six acts taking part:

  1. Hovig – Stone In A River
  2. Doody – Magic
  3. Panagiotis Koufogiannis – Without Your Love
  4. Minus One – Shine
  5. John Karayiannis – One Thing I Should Have Done
  6. Nearchos Evangelou & Charis Savva – Deila Den Agapo

Latvia

  • What: Supernova 2015
  • Start: 20.20 CET
  • Broadcast: LTV1

After dropping Dziesma like a hot potato, Supernova is now going to debut as the Latvian format to select their Eurovision entry. Latvia hasn’t qualified for a Eurovision final since 2009, so LTV is hoping Supernova can do what Dziesma failed to do since 2009: produce a qualifier for the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest. They’re off to a good start with a show that’s scheduled to last a grand two hours and fourty minutes. Four entries will qualify for the final, two will be selected by the jury first, before the other eight face televoting to pick two more qualifiers. You’ll hopefully be able to watch the show through LTV’s website, but that’s not too sure yet.
The following ten acts will be taking part tonight:

  1. Katrīna Cīrule – Bass
  2. Lana Frančeska – Lions
  3. Atis Ieviņš – Catfish
  4. Milenin & Kamilla – Colours of Love
  5. Antra Stafecka – It’s The Night
  6. Framest – Ziemā
  7. Linda Ķaukule – Save Our Love
  8. MNTHA – Nefelibata
  9. Rihards Saule – Life Lines
  10. ElektroFolk – Sundance

Here’s a little schedule for you to see when exactly these shows are taking place!
