Milano 1998: Danijela – Neka Mi Ne Svane (Croatia)

So off to Milano for 1998. Let’s hope the Italians would actually have managed to pull off a great show that year – unlike 1991. 1998 was another great contest with some true gems in there, but only one can be the justified winner here. No matter how much I love Guildo Hat Euch Lieb or Kärleken Är, I have to put Croatia’s Neka Mi Ne Svane as my winner here. She finished in fifth, quite respectable, but four places too low.
Danijela came up with a beautiful, haunting ballad. In the 90s, so we had to have a dress change which got the audience applauding. Would’ve been a much better winner. Off to Zagreb!
