Junior Eurovision: It's Anahit and Mary for Armenia

Armenia has announced that the 13-year-old singers Anahit Adamyan and Mary Vardanyan will represent Armenia at the 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Malta. Their song is set to be released in autumn.
Anahit started her professional singing career in 2013 when she competed in Russia’s The Voice: Kids and composer Igor Krutoy’s Battle of Talents. Anahit says that she is a fan of Junior Eurovision and has watched the show for many years.
“I’m very honoured and happy to be given a chance to represent Armenia at this year’s Junior Eurovision! I can’t wait to share the stage with Mary. I’m sure we are going to have a blast!” said Anahit.
Mary started her musical studies in 2011 and has participated in many music competitions including the Renaissance International Music Festival in 2015.
“I’ve always dreamed of singing in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. I can’t believe that my dream is finally coming true! I’m very excited, and I promise that me and Anahit are going to do our best to impress everyone this November!” said Mary.
Many of their covers can be found online including Anahit’s rendition of Undo by Sanna Nielsen. The Sanna Nielsen YouTube channel even commented “Wow! Beautiful voice. I am so Impressed ! Good luck in the future.”
Armenia has competed in every Junior Eurovision since 2007 and won the contest in 2010 with Mama by Vladimir Arzumanyan. Armenia has an impressive track record at Junior Eurovision, most recently achieving second place in 2015 with Love by Mika. Can they do even better with Anahit and Mary?
