Junior Eurovision: Russian national final on August 15th

After finishing in the 6th place last year with Mikhail Smirnov and his song ‘Mechta’, Russia, one of Junior Eurovision’s most successful countries, will host their national final on Monday 15th of August in the international children center of Artek, Crimea.
A total of 16 participants have been selected by RTR from all the submitted applications and both the jury and the online voting will have a say on the winning song. The winner will be chosen by a 50/50 jury-online voting split, with the professionals gaining preference in case of a tie.
The show will be aired on the kids channel Karusel, with pre-recorded performances. However, the results will be announced live.
You can vote and listen to all the 16 songs HERE.
Russia first appeared in the competition in 2005 and has always competed since then. They only hold one victory but have managed to get in the top 5 six times. Will they have the same fate in Malta? What do you think?

I am a politics student and geopolitics lover who lives and breathes Eurovision every single day of the year. I also love blasting schlager on my headphones while wearing an unamused face.
