Conchita Wurst, who won the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen with her entry ‘Rise Like a Phoenix’ which scored a total of 290 points and as a result brought the contest to Austria in 2015 is back with a new single entitled ‘Blue Boom’.
Although the song has not been officially released, Conchita performed a demo version of the single during a live chat show last night in Vienna to her fans and the #Unstoppables. The live version of the song also featured Maria Burger who played the guitar alongside Conchita and who also provides backing vocals for the song.
The song ‘Blue Bloom’ is an emotional song that contains powerful lyrics, particularly within the chorus of the song where Conchita sings:
“She’s here with you, to hold and shelter you.
She’s here for you, to take and guide you through. It’s the everyday life, the passing of time, the memory of her bloom…”
Conchita has gone on to achieve a lot over the two years since her sensational victory at Eurovision. She has released an album self entitled ‘Conchita’ and hosted the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest alongside Mirjam Weichselbraun, Alice Tumler and Arabella Kiesbauer, not to mention publishing her own Autobiography. ‘Blue Bloom’ is the latest single from Conchita.
