George Michaelides will represent Cyprus at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Valletta with the song ‘Dance Floor’.
George was chosen by a five-member jury panel composed by Salomi Chatzineofytou, Lia Kasiou, Spyros Spyrou, Florentios Tsoukkas and Stéfanos Charalámpous. The jurors had to pick a winner from seven submitted entries performed by artists aged between 9 and 14.
The Cypriot broadcaster (CyBC) has not given any information regarding the release date of the song.
Cyprus was absent from the competition last year but will return to Malta, where two years ago scored a 9th place with Sophia Patsalides.
