This morning, Bulgarian broadcaster BNT revealed the official music video for their 2016 Junior Eurovision entry Magical Day, which will be performed by Lidia Ganeva who won Bulgaria’s national selection process back in June. The song was composed by Vladimir Ampov Grafa with lyrics being written by Iliya Grigorov. It is mostly performed in Bulgarian as necessary due to the rules of the contest, but the end of the song sees Lidia switch to English. BNT stated the following via Twitter regarding their decision to add English to their Junior Eurovision entry for the first time:
“The message of our song is important and we want to be understood by as many people as possible.”
Magical Day is an uplifting mid-tempo song that showcases Lidia’s wonderful vocals. The addition of a choir towards the end of the song gives the song an anthemic quality that will surely appeal to both the adult and kids juries that will determine the winner of the 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in the Maltese capital of Valletta next month. The official music video was directed by Vasil Stefanov and you can watch this below.
