Switzerland: Finalists announced

This morning the Swiss German broadcaster SRF announced the 6 finalists that have been chosen from yesterdayโ€™s live auditions. The process started back in September with the opening of a submission process that closed in October with more than 160 songs received.
Twenty-one acts were picked to perform in the live auditions, where only 6 qualified for the final of โ€˜ESC 2017 โ€“ Entscheidungsshowโ€™, to be broadcast on February 5th.

Freschta โ€“ Gold

Freschta will compete with the song โ€˜Goldโ€˜, hoping this opportunity will promote her career. The 20-year-old singer started her journey when she competed at โ€˜The Voice of Switzerlandโ€™ back in 2014.

Ginta Biku โ€“ Cet Air La

Ginta Biku โ€”who was born in Lithuaniaโ€” competes with the song โ€˜Cet Air Laโ€˜. She promises to showcase her musical project which uses state-of-the-art technology.

Michรจle โ€“ Two Faces

The winner of the 2013 edition of โ€˜The Voice Kidsโ€™ of Germany is the youngest competing act. At the age of 16, she is competing with the song โ€˜Two Facesโ€˜.

Nadya โ€“ The Fire In The Sky

23-year-old Nadya describes herself as self-willed, entertaining and a little noisy. She was a finalist on this yearโ€™s edition of Switzerlandโ€™s Got Talent.

Shana Pearson โ€“ Exodus

Shana topped the French charts in 2011 with the summer hit โ€˜Sending out an SOSโ€™ and now she wants to represent the Alpine nation with the song โ€˜Exodusโ€™.

Timebelle โ€“ Apollo

The band from Berne already competed to represent Switzerland two years ago. This time theyโ€™ve come back to show what theyโ€™re capable of with โ€˜Apolloโ€™.
