This morning the Swiss German broadcaster SRF announced the 6 finalists that have been chosen from yesterday’s live auditions. The process started back in September with the opening of a submission process that closed in October with more than 160 songs received.
Twenty-one acts were picked to perform in the live auditions, where only 6 qualified for the final of ‘ESC 2017 – Entscheidungsshow’, to be broadcast on February 5th.
Freschta – Gold
Freschta will compete with the song ‘Gold‘, hoping this opportunity will promote her career. The 20-year-old singer started her journey when she competed at ‘The Voice of Switzerland’ back in 2014.
Ginta Biku – Cet Air La
Ginta Biku —who was born in Lithuania— competes with the song ‘Cet Air La‘. She promises to showcase her musical project which uses state-of-the-art technology.
Michèle – Two Faces
The winner of the 2013 edition of ‘The Voice Kids’ of Germany is the youngest competing act. At the age of 16, she is competing with the song ‘Two Faces‘.
Nadya – The Fire In The Sky
23-year-old Nadya describes herself as self-willed, entertaining and a little noisy. She was a finalist on this year’s edition of Switzerland’s Got Talent.
Shana Pearson – Exodus
Shana topped the French charts in 2011 with the summer hit ‘Sending out an SOS’ and now she wants to represent the Alpine nation with the song ‘Exodus’.
Timebelle – Apollo
The band from Berne already competed to represent Switzerland two years ago. This time they’ve come back to show what they’re capable of with ‘Apollo’.
