After being confirmed as Bulgaria’s representative for the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest. VICTORIA has been hard at work finding the song that she will be singing for Rotterdam. With the “Black Sea Songwriting Camp” set up to potentially find her song.

Meanwhile, VICTORIA has released her new song ‘Ugly Cry’, which could be her entry for the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest. The entry which VICTORIA will perform in Rotterdam will be released in March.

Bulgaria at the Eurovision Song Contest

Debuting in 2005 in Kyiv, Bulgaria sent Kaffe with the song “Lorraine”. Their debut entry remains their worst to date – placing just 19th in the semi-final.

They first qualified for the final in 2007 when BNT sent Elitsa & Stoyan with “Water”. Scoring 157 points, the duo finished in 5th place. It wasn’t until 2016 that Bulgaria made the final again with Poli Genova’s “If Love Was A Crime” which finished in 4th.

Their best result to date came in 2017, when they finally reached the top three with Kristian Kostov’s “Beautiful Mess”. The song placed 2nd on the night, finishing behind Portugal’s Salvador Sobral. The following three years proved eventful for Bulgaria – 2018 saw their worst-ever result in the grand final, which led to them withdrawing in 2019, and returning again in 2020 – only to have the contest cancelled!

On behalf of the ESCXTRA team, we would like to congratulate VICTORIA on achieving this feat.
