Your Guide to Tonight’s shows!

It’s already the middle of January and you would think by now, we would already have a handful of entries selected that would be enough to form the start of a ever-growing personal top 5 list of songs. Think again! – we’re still only at one entry with Albania, who held the 55th edition of Festivali ii Kenges last month. This was ultimately won by Lindita Halimi with the song Botë, but don’t get too hopeful on that one – they are well known to completely change things by the March deadline so save yourself searching it on YouTube for now.
Since the new year, Lithuania kicked off their mammoth selection with the first of a number of heats. 12 of the acts were narrowed down to 6 by a combination of televoting and an expert jury. The six qualifiers were:
Edgaras Lubys – “Could It Be?” (22 pts)
Sasha Song – “Never Felt Like This Before” (18 pts)
Paula Valentaitė – “Never Let You Go” (17 pts)
Golden Monkeys – “Septyni dievai” (14 pts)
Otreya – “Last Two Weeks” (12 pts)
Benas Malakauskas – “Rolling” (12 pts)
Tonight, things are slowly proceeding as Hungary kick start their national selection A Dal while Lithuania continue things with the second heat of Eurovizijos. Here is your guide to all of tonight’s action:

HUNGARY – A Dal 2017
Heat 1 – 19:30 – 21:40 CET
Ten acts will compete for a place in the semi final stage of the competition – six of which will proceed further. Five acts will qualify as a result of 100% jury vote whereas the sixth will be decided solely on televote alone.
