Live from the Hammersmith Apollo in London, the United Kingdom has six new(ish) faces ready to sing for their chance to win a ticket to Kyiv this May.
This year, the BBC has assembled six acts who all have live singing experience on The X Factor. Whilst these faces may be somewhat familiar, their music and artistry is not. For most of these, this is the chance at a début single. The chance of a lifetime to represent their country on the Eurovision stage.
There is a special panel of three famous faces to offer advice on their performance and how they could take their staging to the next level for Eurovision itself in May. These three people are Bruno Tonioli, judge on Strictly Come Dancing, Sophie Ellis Bextor, a British pop-star well known for “Murder on the Dancefloor” and CeCe Sammy, a vocal coach who was 1/5 of the UK’s jury vote at Eurovision last year in Stockholm.
The six artists, and their songs, taking part tonight are, in alphabetical order:
- Danyl Johnson – “Light Up the World”
- Holly Brewer – “I Wish I Loved You More”
- Lucie Jones – “Never Give Up on You”
- Nate Simpson – “What Are We Made Of”
- Olivia Garcia – “Freedom Hearts”
- Salena Mastroianni – “I Don’t Wanna Fight”
