We finally have a date for the Spanish National Final – Objetivo Eurovisión will take place next Saturday, 11th February.
The Spanish broadcaster, RTVE were one of the first countries to kick off their search for their 2017 Eurovision entry. An online wildcard round took place late last year which saw candidates whittled down to a final three, selected by a professional jury. Last month the finalists competed in a ‘web final’ which saw LaKlein finish first place, progressing to the national final itself.
RTVE then announced the other five participants who were internally selected to compete in Objetivo Eurovisión. The selected artists were Mirela, Manel Navarro, Paula Rojo, Maika & Mario Jefferson. Shortly after the announcement, Full versions of all songs were made available on the broadcasters website.
This evening, RTVE finally confirmed via Twitter that the national final will take place on Saturday 11th February at 22:00 CET. On the same evening, Italy will select its participant in the grand final of San Remo
