With only four days to go before the first semifinal of Söngvakeppnin 2017, escxtra’s Wiv sat down with Hildur to have a quick chat about Eurovision, indie vs pop music, “things” that will be on stage during her performance…and happiness!

Two years ago, Hildur participated in Söngvakeppnin for the first time, as part of the duo Sunday. They made it to the final, where they lost out to María Ólafs and her song “Unbroken”. Here you can re-live the semifinal performance of “Fjaðrir”.
As she says in the interview, Hildur has had massive success in Iceland in the past year, with her solo project Hildur. Her number one hit “I’ll Walk With You” has secured nominations for best song in all music awards in the country, and she has also been nominated as best newcomer, best female artist, best solo artist…and loads more. No wonder, cuz this song is a serious earworm.
