Video interview; Júli Heiðar and Þórdís Birna make sweet music

Just days before the first semifinal of Söngvakeppnin 2017, escxtra’s Wiv sat down with Júli Heiðar and Þórdís Birna to have a quick chat about Eurovision, keeping the peace in the relationship, weird things going on inside Júli’s head…and having “stuff” on stage during their performance!

These guys are no newcomers to Söngvakeppnin; they made it all the way to the final last year, with the song Spring yfir heiminn/Ready to Break Free, which was written by Júli Heiðar and Guðmundur Snorri (who has also co-written this year’s entry) and performed by Þórdís Birna and Guðmundur Snorri.

We asked them if they would sing a song for us during the interview, and since we had our little chat in Júli’s rehearsing studio, they actually had their band there for a rehearsal. And they treated us to this superfun performance of Lithuania’s 2015 entry “This Time”.
