Cyprus: Hovig releases official music video for his Eurovision entry ‘Gravity’

In the last few minutes, Hovig has released the official music video for his Eurovision entry Gravity. Hovig was internally selected to represent Cyprus back in October by national broadcaster CyBC. The song was composed by Thomas G:son, who is partly responsible for Loreen’s 2012 Eurovision winning entry Euphoria. In addition, he composed last year’s Cypriot entry Alter Ego by Minus One.

An early release!

The music video was initially due to be released after 8pm CET this evening. However, this afternoon Gravity leaked onto the internet. Therefore, CyBC have rush-released the video – and why not! Watch the video below:

Hovig will be performing in the second half of the first semi-final on May 9th. He will be hoping to progress to the final and secure a third consecutive qualification for Cyprus!
What do you think of the Cypriot entry for 2017? Furthermore, do you think this can get them that third consecutive final appearance? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below and via our social media pages @escXtra!

My first memory of watching the Eurovision Song Contest was back in 2001 and, over the years, my passion and enthusiasm for the contest has very much turned into an obsession. I adore music and I love geography, so this contest is a natural fit for me. If la la loving Eurovision was a crime, I'd certainly be a criminal!
