Just days before the second semifinal of Söngvakeppnin 2017, escXtra’s Wiv sat down with Aron Brink to have a quick chat about Eurovision, becoming a household name in Iceland, going from films to music, his dad…and much more!
Aron is a newcomer to Söngvakeppnin, but he started getting recognized already last year, when he took part in The Voice Iceland. He did however grow up surrounded by Eurovision, since both his dad, Sjónni Brink, and his step mom, Þórunn Erna Clausen, have taken part in Söngvakeppnin several times. They have also represented Iceland in Eurovision once; in 2011, with “Coming Home”
