We sadly where not able to get interviews with two of the second semifinal acts. But to have them include we wanted to write a bit about them as well. Who knows, maybe we´ll get to catch up with them later, if things go well for them tonight.
Svala Björgvins is a really well known name in Iceland, and she has been from young age. She has been doing music since she was a kid. Her father is Björgvin Halldórsson, who sang “Núna” at Eurovision in 1995 and finished in 15th place. She has never entered the Söngvakeppnin herself before. She seems to be going all in now, with a strong song that gets good airtime on the radio. This is her song in Icelandic, “Ég veit það”, but she will sing the English version “Paper”, in the final if she makes it there;)

Kristina Bærendssen is from the Faroe Islands and is well known there. She is a powerful singer, and even though she will probably have a bit of a challenge performing the song in Icelandic, we’re sure she will do fine since Icelandic and Faeroese are rather close. Páll Rósinkrans is also very known in Iceland, and he has taken part in Söngvakeppnin several times before. Tonight they will sing this romantic duet ” Þú og Ég”.
We at escXtra would like to wish them all the best tonight!
