Back in December, Lindita was crowned the winner of Festivali i Këngës 55. Subsquently, the Kosovo-born star won the right to represent Albania at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest. She immediately revealed plans to revamp her Festivali i Këngës entry Botë. Ever since, Eurovision fans have been eagerly awaiting the final version of the Albanian song.
Botë becomes World!
The song was originally written in English with the title World. Lindita revealed that she wanted to revert back to the English lyrics for Eurovision. Furthermore, she has stated that she wanted to give the song a more electronic and modern feel as this wasn’t possible to do when taking into account the live orchestra at Festivali i Këngës.
After working on the song over the past few months with her team consisting of Klodian Qafoku and Gerald Xhari, Lindita is now ready to present the final version of her Eurovision entry. Therefore, you can now watch the official music video for World below!
Lindita will perform in the first half of the first semi-final. The show takes place on May 9th in the Ukrainian capital city of Kyiv. In any case, Albania will be hoping to return to the final after failing to qualify with Eneda Tarifa’s Fairytale last year.
