London Eurovision Party

It’s the Czech Republic’s Turn as Martina Bárta heads to London!

We are less than two weeks away from the 2017 London Eurovision Party. Yet, the guest announcements keep on coming! Therefore, we are pleased to announce that performing at the Café de Paris on April 2nd will be Martina Bárta from the Czech Republic.
This will be the second time the Czech representative will join us in London. Martina is following in the footsteps of Marta Jandová & Václav Noid Bárta who joined us in 2015. Martina was internally selected by Czech national broadcaster ČT. She was subsequently announced as their representative last month. In early March, Martina presented her Eurovision entry My Turn, composed by DWB and Kyler Niko.

One of jazz music’s most promising new talents

Martina Bárta is a rising talent within jazz music, regularly performing with bands and appearing at jazz music festivals in Germany and the Czech Republic. According to Eurovision.tv, Martina said the following regarding why the Eurovision Song Contest is important to her:

“At first it’s a question of representation of my country. Also I’d like to use this opportunity to show the people who am I, what am I doing as a musician, singer and artist. I hope that it could also help me to get in touch with a lot of interesting people from the music business and people who are interested in music as much as I am.”

We can’t wait to welcome Martina to the sold-out London Eurovision Party next month. See you there!

My first memory of watching the Eurovision Song Contest was back in 2001 and, over the years, my passion and enthusiasm for the contest has very much turned into an obsession. I adore music and I love geography, so this contest is a natural fit for me. If la la loving Eurovision was a crime, I'd certainly be a criminal!
