Back in March, Romania held the final of Selecţia Naţională to determine their representative for the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest. Ilinca and Alex Florea earned a landslide victory with their pop, rap and yodel fusion that is Yodel It!. Over the past few weeks, the duo have been promoting their entry at various preview parties. Nevertheless, their efforts didn’t stop there!
There’s no place like home
A couple of weeks ago, Ilinca and Alex filmed an official music video for their entry in Cluj, Ilinca’s hometown. As you can see, the video was filmed in various locations around Romania’s second most populous city including the Central Park and the National Theatre. Lucky number five?
Romania will perform 5th in the second semi-final of the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest. They will hope to progress from the second semi-final on May 11th to the grand final two days later. Last year, Ovidiu Anton won the honour of representing the country. However, TVR were forced to withdraw over unpaid debts to the EBU.
