Kyiv 2017

OGAE Voting 2017: 30 countries have now received points as we reach the halfway stage!

It is time to take another look at how the 2017 OGAE poll is progressing! We previously took a look at the standings after the first seven votes. Nevertheless, the votes have since been submitted increasingly quickly. As a result, we have now reached the halfway point! 22 of the 44 voting fan clubs have revealed their favourite 10 entries.

It is worth noting that, since our previous article, it has been revealed that OGAE Montenegro will not be submitting votes this year. Therefore, 44 fan clubs, rather than 45, will decide the winner of this year’s poll.

Comments on OGAE Voting 2017: 30 countries have now received points as we reach the halfway stage!

Is this year gonna be, again, the result of both ogae and bettors ( who influenced who, as you said? I still think it’s the road in between) striking their convergent predictions? Especially for Italy (the recurrent “landslide year”)???
So, right now, is it already the time to predict which two of the “fab five” are going to slip down the ranking? Or do we have to wait until the reharsals? For them only or is it Italy at risk too? I doubt it… But Portugal is slowly yet continously climbing…
It looks like is going to be exactly what you realized from datas: convergency of ogaes and odds, striking for three of the five “firsts”, since we know this year’s real contenders are just this five.
And… Is it going for sure to be Estonia (which seems so hugely favoured by ogaes but unnoticed in odds) one of the possibly two “substitutes” on the high five team? Where is the other one hiding? I still don’t have a clue.
Thanks for the interesting reading and goodbye!

About these polls I’ m only interested in seeing if Italy and Portugal are going to give their 12 points one another, in “exchange”. Curiosity only. It would help me get deeper in Western/Eastern neighbour voting. If it still exist, because I think so. And it would help me, maybe, to understand the real threat of Bulgaria, which I can’t place properly. I already got a partial answer from Eastern block.
