In addition, for our immediate reactions to every single rehearsal, you can follow our live stream from the press centre at the International Exhibition Center by visiting our YouTube channel.

The latest artist to rehearse is Claudia Faniello from Malta. We have just watched his first run through of Breathlessly live on screen and here is our initial reaction.

Summary in a sentence

Claudia does everything in her power to sell this subtle, emotional ballad and the staging suits the song.

The Maltese LED backdrops is mostly dark blue. Claudia appears on the LED backdrop, sometimes with just a close-up of her face and sometimes a full body shot. The chandelier is prominent, perhaps taking inspiration from the setting of the music video.

As always, Claudia is vocally faultless and sells the song as well as is possible.

Claudia is wearing a glittery silver full-length tight-fitting formal dress, once again taking inspiration from her music video.

Watch the rehearsal!

As the first rehearsals are closed to the press, only the official Eurovision website has access to film the performances. Therefore, as soon as these videos get uploaded we will edit in the video here!

Stay tuned for our reaction to Illinca and Alex Florea as they rehearse Yodel It! next for Romania. Meanwhile, remember to tune in to our live stream from the press centre for instant reactions to each rehearsal.

Ryan Cobb

My first memory of watching the Eurovision Song Contest was back in 2001 and, over the years, my passion and enthusiasm for the contest has very much turned into an obsession. I adore music and I love geography, so this contest is a natural fit for me. If la la loving Eurovision was a crime, I'd certainly be a criminal!
