escXtra are live from Kyiv for day three of rehearsals ahead of the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest! The countries rehearsing today, in chronological order, are Serbia, Austria, F.Y.R. The latest artist to rehearse is Jana Burčeska from F.Y.R. Macedonia. We have just watched her first run through of Dance Alone live on screen and here is our initial reaction.
Summary in a sentence
An okay first rehearsal from Jana although the camerawork and choreography could do with tightening up in future run throughs.
Staging
Jana danced alone on stage and the LED backdrop has a red theme. In addition, there are also videos within the backdrop that sometimes show images from the music video.
Vocals
Her vocals are okay, and show an improvement on the live performance we saw at the likes of Israel Calling. Although, the backing vocals could probably benefit from being mixed differently with the lead vocal.
Costumes
Jana was wearing a black jacket with black, lacy shorts.
