The next artist to take to the stage for their second rehearsal is Kasia Moś from Poland. We have just watched her first run through of Flashlight live from Kyiv and here is our reaction.
The LED uses various shades of blue, sometimes with images of clouds and sometimes with images of birds amongst others. The camerawork seems to have been improved, with a few camera shots of the LED floor that showed starry constellation-type images. Kasia’s vocals are flawless and she puts in several ad-libs too add further dynamism to the track. Kasia is wearing a white full-length dress whilst her violinist is dressed in black.
I think this is a borderline qualifier but will potentially miss out. I’d give this a 40% chance of qualifying. Kasia’s vocals are fantastic but the song is not instant or memorable on first listen. Brent is more confident however, he thinks Poland will qualify.
Press centre reaction
A mini applause in the press centre for Poland, no doubt wowed by her live vocals.
Watch the rehearsal!
