ESCXTRA are live from Kyiv for day five of rehearsals ahead of the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest! For the first time, we can bring you live audio from the press centre television screens that show each rehearsal. The countries rehearsing today, in chronological order, are Sweden, Georgia, Australia, Albania, Belgium, Montenegro, Finland, Azerbaijan, Portugal, Greece, Poland, Moldova, Iceland, Czech Republic and Cyprus. Furthermore, read our handy guide for a more detailed look at this contest’s rehearsal schedule.

In addition, for our immediate reactions to every single rehearsal, you can follow our live stream from the press centre at the International Exhibition Center by visiting our YouTube channel. Also, you will also be able to listen live to each rehearsal as it happens and give us your opinions in our live chat.

The next artist to take to the stage for their second rehearsal is Martina Bárta from the Czech Republic. We have just watched her first run through of My Turn live from Kyiv and here is our reaction.

Staging overview

Martina has kept her shiny golden jumpsuit outfit for this run through and her LEDs are stil very pink, purple and gold with images from the music video appearing at times. As always Martina’s vocals are on point, her unique tone really adds an extra quality to this beautiful song. The bright visuals are still unexpected for this song considering the music video but I am quickly getting used to them. They have removed the random eyes that were present on the LED in the first rehearsal.

Qualification prospects

I personally love this song but I fear for its qualification chances. For it to qualify it will need extremely heavy jury support and I’m not quite sure it’ll get enough. It does have an advantage of being the final female ballad of the semi-final. Unfortunately, 20% chance for me.

Watch the rehearsal!

We will bring you video footage from this second rehearsal as soon as we have it!

Stay tuned for our reaction to Hovig as he rehearses Gravity next for Cyprus. Meanwhile, remember to tune in to our live stream from the press centre. There you can see our instant reactions to each rehearsal and listen to live audio to judge for yourself!

Ryan Cobb

My first memory of watching the Eurovision Song Contest was back in 2001 and, over the years, my passion and enthusiasm for the contest has very much turned into an obsession. I adore music and I love geography, so this contest is a natural fit for me. If la la loving Eurovision was a crime, I'd certainly be a criminal!
