ESCXTRA: Live from Kyiv

Day 6: Manel Navarro completes his first rehearsal for Spain – PREDICTION & REVIEW

ESCXTRA are live from Kyiv for day six of rehearsals ahead of the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest! Like yesterday, we can bring you live audio from the press centre television screens that show each rehearsal. The countries rehearsing today, in chronological order, are Armenia, Slovenia, Latvia, Serbia, Austria, F.Y.R. Macedonia, Malta, Romania, Ukraine, Italy, Spain, Germany, United Kingdom and France. Furthermore, read our handy guide for a more detailed look at this contest’s rehearsal schedule.

In addition, for our immediate reactions to every single rehearsal, you can follow our live stream from the press centre at the International Exhibition Center by visiting our YouTube channel. Also, you will also be able to listen live to each second rehearsal as it happens and give us your opinions in our live chat.

The next artist to take to the stage for their first rehearsal is Manel Navarro from Spain. We have just watched his first run through of Do It For Your Lover live from Kyiv and here is our reaction.

Staging overview

There is little surprise in Manel’s rehearsal. The stage is well lit, with bright backing screens. Manel is with his guitar and sings fairly competently but some people here commented on him being off key at some moments.

Reaction in the press centre

There was a limited reaction from the press centre in general here. I think because it was as expected, the rehearsal did not shock too many people. We will see if the second rehearsal on Sunday gets a bigger reaction.

Watch the rehearsal!

We will bring you video footage from this second rehearsal as soon as we have it!

Stay tuned for our reaction to Levina as she rehearses Perfect Life next for Germany. Meanwhile, remember to tune in to our live stream from the press centre. There you can ask us your questions and tune in to some live stream interviews with special guests!
