ESCXTRA are live from Kyiv for day six of rehearsals ahead of the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest! Like yesterday, we can bring you live audio from the press centre television screens that show each rehearsal. The countries rehearsing today, in chronological order, are Armenia, Slovenia, Latvia, Serbia, Austria, F.Y.R. Macedonia, Malta, Romania, Ukraine, Italy, Spain, Germany, United Kingdom and France. Furthermore, read our handy guide for a more detailed look at this contest’s rehearsal schedule.

In addition, for our immediate reactions to every single rehearsal, you can follow our live stream from the press centre at the International Exhibition Center by visiting our YouTube channel. Also, you will also be able to listen live to each second rehearsal as it happens and give us your opinions in our live chat.

The next artist to take to the stage for her second rehearsal is Triana Park from Latvia. We have just watched his first run through of Line live from Kyiv and here is our reaction.

Staging overview

The neon panels from Supernova have returned once again, with the LED backdrop showing some sort of black and white wave motion. Later in the song, the LED backdrop changes to these neon figure people. Agnese interacts with the cameras perfectly.
The band’s costumes are fantastic, Agnese returned to her “Harley Quinn” hairstyle first used at Supernova. Her outfit was very modern and quirky and her bandmates’ costumes complimented her well. Her vocals were solid and the backing vocals were boosting her in various parts.

Qualification prospects

I worry this is too alternative for a mainstream audience although performing last in the semi-final is very beneficial. Unfortunately I can see this missing out, but only just – 40% chance of qualification perhaps. On the other hand, Brent does think this will qualify.

Other reactions

Limited reaction here in the press centre, but not sure if this is song-related or just because the press are paying less attention again.

Watch the rehearsal!

We will bring you video footage from this second rehearsal as soon as we have it!

Stay tuned for our reaction to Triana Park as they rehearses Line next for Latvia. Meanwhile, remember to tune in to our live stream from the press centre. There you can ask us your questions and tune in to some live stream interviews with special guests!

Ryan Cobb

My first memory of watching the Eurovision Song Contest was back in 2001 and, over the years, my passion and enthusiasm for the contest has very much turned into an obsession. I adore music and I love geography, so this contest is a natural fit for me. If la la loving Eurovision was a crime, I'd certainly be a criminal!
