The next artist to take to the stage for their second rehearsal is Anja Nissen from Denmark. We have just watched her first run through of Where I Am live from Kyiv and here is our reaction.
Staging overview
Anja is absolutely faultless vocally, she is effortlessly in belting out those notes. She has made a return to the red dress from the national final which she kneels down in for the final chorus, putting every ounce of emotion into it. The LED backdrop begins blue, turning gold for the final chorus. This is a perfect enhancement of the national final performance onto the big Kyiv stage.
Qualification prospects
I’ve been convinced since it was selected that it was a fairly safe qualifier and Anja’s rehearsals here have only made me more convinced. Juries will really go for this and the song is accessible enough to gain some televising support. What goes against it is that it is followed by a similar big money-note ballad from Ireland straight afterwards. 70% chance if qualification.
Watch the rehearsal!
We will bring you video footage from this second rehearsal as soon as we have it!
Stay tuned for our reaction to Brendan Murray as he rehearses Dying to Try next for Ireland. Meanwhile, remember to tune in to our live stream from the press centre. There you can ask us your questions and tune in to some live stream interviews with special guests!
