ESCXTRA are live from Kyiv for day six of rehearsals ahead of the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest! As every country has now rehearsed for the first time, there is no more need to mute our live stream. The countries that are completing their second rehearsals today are all in Semifinal 2. They are, in chronological order: the Netherlands, Hungary, Denmark, Ireland, San Marino, Croatia, Norway, Switzerland, Belarus, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Estonia, Israel. Furthermore, read our handy guide for a more detailed look at this contest’s rehearsal schedule.

In addition, for our immediate reactions to every single rehearsal, you can follow our live stream from the press centre at the International Exhibition Center by visiting our YouTube channel. Also, you will also be able to listen live to each second rehearsal as it happens and give us your opinions in our live chat.

The next artist to take to the stage for their second rehearsal is Timebelle from Switzerland. We have just watched their first run through of Apollo live from Kyiv and here is our reaction.

Staging overview

Miruna is dressed in a gorgeous canary yellow dress while her band mates are in various pink and white combinations. For most of the time the LED backdrop is sky blue and pink with Greek mythologic imagery. Miruna starts her performance on top of a platform before descending the stairs towards during the middle 8. Miruna barely sings any of the original final chorus, instead ad-libbing her way through and doing so very very strongly. This is a great idea as it solves the criticism some people have for the song regarding its repetition.

Qualification prospects

I think this another very borderline qualifier but it benefits from a lack of female-led ballads in the second half of this semi-final. I think the juries could drag this through for the modern song and good vocals. 50% chance of qualifying.

Watch the rehearsal!

We will bring you video footage from this second rehearsal as soon as we have it!

Stay tuned for our reaction to Naviband as they rehearse Story of My Life next for Belarus. Meanwhile, remember to tune in to our live stream from the press centre. There you can ask us your questions and tune in to some live stream interviews with special guests!

Ryan Cobb

My first memory of watching the Eurovision Song Contest was back in 2001 and, over the years, my passion and enthusiasm for the contest has very much turned into an obsession. I adore music and I love geography, so this contest is a natural fit for me. If la la loving Eurovision was a crime, I'd certainly be a criminal!
