The Second Semi-Final Is Over! Here Are Your 10 Finalists!

In a thrilling 2-hour show, the second set of 18 semi-finalists competed in the second semi-final of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, in a bid to earn your votes. It’s now all over, and we know our second set of 10 finalists!
Qualifying for the grand final on Saturday are:

• Austria
• Belarus
• Bulgaria
• Croatia
• Denmark
• Hungary
• Israel
• The Netherlands
• Norway
• Romania

I didn’t see Croatia at all! Also annoyed by The Netherlands qualifying which brings nada to Eurovision. Very glad Bulgaria has performed really strongly and was by far the best of the semi. All-male TOP3 in the final?
P.S. Estonia, please be yourself next time and stop copying Sweden.

Well, I am so surprised by Croatia was sure it wouldn’t qualify. Would have liked to see Jana qualifying. But super glad for Hungary!

Are you serious? I am LIVID. Literally I’m having to hold back on swearing like a sailor here. Are you SERIOUS, Europe? Croatia through? You like that utter garbage? Estonia and F.Y.R. Macedonia out? What is wrong with Europe?!?

A giant sigh of relief when OG3NE popped up so late. I think it was quite a predictable result in the end, with only Israel really surprising me. Kind of sad for Estonia and FYR Macedonia, but Jana already has her biggest present, so that is a comfort.

Sophie

So, good things first: All of my favourites of semi-final 2 – Bulgaria, Belarus, Hungary, and Austria – made it to the final. I just can’t believe that we’re gonna see Croatia and Romania again on Saturday as well. Really didn’t see that one coming.

Yassia

Yaaaay! Belarus is in the final! Very difficult semi to predict. I’m going to miss Estonia and Switzerland a lot!

Were Our Predictions Accurate?

Earlier today, we published our predictions for who will qualify. But how accurate were we?
We predicted that Austria, Belarus, Bulgaria, Denmark, Estonia, F.Y.R. Macedonia, Hungary, Israel, Norway, and Romania would qualify.
This means that we correctly predicted 8/10 of the qualifiers! Most accurate from our team were Nick, Wivian, and Hlynur who correctly predicted 9 of the qualifiers, whereas Sophie, Yassia, Rodrigo, and Dan were the least accurate, guessing only 6 of the qualifiers.
