Pernilla represented Finland in the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest in Baku, with the song “När jag blundar”. This was only the second time the Finnish entry was performed in Swedish. The first time was “Fri?” back in 1990, which was, coincidentally the year Pernilla was born!
Unfortunately Pernilla and “När jag blundar” failed to qualify for the final, after finishing 12th in the first semi final.
