June 17th seems to be a great day for Eurovision artists, as we have a total of FOUR birthdays to celebrate today! And since beauty is very much in the eyes of the beholder, we’ll let age decide the order in which we will present the birthday boys and girl!
The entire Euroverse became quite fired up when news that the world famous boyband Blue was going to represent the United Kingdom in 2011 appeared. Their song “I Can” also became quite popular, and they were among the pre-contest favorites. Their live vocals left a bit to be desired, and they finished 11th on the night. Lee Ryan, the youngest memeber of the group celebrates his 34th birthday today!
Andrea Demirovic, who represented Montenegro in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow, turns 32 today!! She sang about wanting someone out of her life; perhaps the points thought she was refering to them? She just failed to qualify for the grand final, finishing 11th in her semi.
For Anzej Dezan, today marks the big 30! He came into the Euroverse in 2006, when he represented Slovenia with the song “Mr.Nobody”. He failed to qualify for the final, however, finishing 16th in the semi final.
Shane Schuller, better known to the Euroverse as RiskyKidd, joined us in Copenhagen in 2014, when he represented Greece along with FreakyFortune. THey finished 7th in their semi, thus making it to the grand final, where they finished 20th. Today is RiskyKidd’s 23rd birthday!
