Belarus in Junior Eurovision
Amongst 5 podium finishes, the country has won the whole contest twice: in 2005 with Ksenia Sitnik and in 2007 with Alexey Zhigalkovich. Also, last year Alexander Minyonok finished in a respectable 7th place. As a result, there will be big shoes to fill for whoever goes to Tbilisi. Due to this, it’s not unthinkable that BTRC are working hard to find a worthy successor.
This year, the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2017 will take place on 26 November in Tbilisi, Georgia. It will be the first time that Georgia hosts a Eurovision event! So far, 12 countries have confirmed their provisional interest in participating. However, the Georgian broadcaster, GPB, expects the final number of participants to be between 12 and 18.
