Australia’s Isaiah releases new single ‘Streets of Gold’

Only two months after performing at Eurovision 2017 in Kyiv, Australia’s youngest participant Isaiah Firebrace is back in the studio and has just released his new single, ‘Streets of Gold’. This adds on to his already expansive set of original songs, covers and albums, despite being only 17 years old!

Over the past number of weeks, following his performance at the NAIDOC Festival in Australia, Isaiah had been teasing the release of new music across several of his social media platforms, like Facebook and Twitter, with pictures of him in the studio.

And then on July 28th, he released his new single, ‘Streets of Gold’. The stripped-down ballad shows off Isaiah’s silky smooth vocal and his powerful emotion. You can listen to it here on Spotify:

It don’t come easy

This will become Isaiah’s second music release of this year. This, of course, comes after the release of his Eurovision single ‘Don’t come easy’. At the Eurovision Song Contest 2017, Isaiah brought the country back into the top 10. He finished in 4th position with the Professional Juries and a respectable 9th overall with 173 points.

Isaiah can expect a reasonable level of success for his new music, as his popularity has only grown since his X-Factor win in 2016 with his single ‘It’s gotta be you’. His X-Factor single, as of the date of writing, has achieved almost 100 million streams on Spotify! ‘Don’t come easy’ has also achieved great success, with approximately 4 million streams.
