We only have one Eurostar to celebrate on this wonderful August Tuesday. Today’s birthday boy performed one of my favorite entries from his country (sorry, I just can’t help it; sometimes I sort of pop out of the neutral “we”…), and I insist that they are singing about drinking wine at the edge of the world…
Vlad Miriță, 36
Vlad represented Romania in the 2008 Eurovision, with the song “Pe-o margine de lume”. He was part of the duo Nico and Vlad, with Nicoleta Matei. They qualified for the final as number seven from the first semi-final. In the final they finished in 20th place, from starting position 1.
