Spain: David Civera plans Eurovision 2018 comeback

The 2001 Eurovision representative of Spain – David Civera wants to take another shot at bringing the trophy back in his country.
Before any confirmations on how Spain will select their representative, David Civera comes out with a statement that he plans to give Eurovision another try and that he already has the song for it.

From the bottom to the top

In an interview David Civera confirms he is ready to take on the responsibility of representing Spain in neighboring Portugal.
A few soundbites:
“I’m working on a song that could represent Spain at Eurovision. At the moment I’m very happy with our progress, and It’s a song that Spain wouldn’t say NO to.”
“Despite everything, we need to remember that Eurovision is a SONG contest, and we have to pay attention of who’s representing us.”
“My bit for Eurovision 2018 isn’t ambitious regarding the final finish. I would just like to present a song that the fans will like and a stage show to back it up.” -States Civera in an interview with La Opinión de Murcia.
However, this is not the first time that the singer suggests this. At the 60th anniversary TVE gala he also stated that he would love to do Eurovision again.

David’s Eurovision journey begins in 2001, where he performed his entry “Dile que la quiero” for the fans in Copenhagen.
To this day, David is the best scoring Spanish act at Eurovision of this century.
