Yesterday, we discovered that 2012 Eurovision winner Loreen had signed a brand new record deal with BMG Scandinavia. Her upcoming EP Nude will be her first release on the label. In order to continue to build the hype, today Loreen has released the next single from her upcoming EP. The new single, Jungle, features Elliphant and sees Loreen experimenting with a more urban sound following the trance influences in previous single Body.

Not only an EP but a brand new album too!

With Jungle out on all digital platforms right, we are just two weeks away from the release of the Nude EP which will hit digital platforms on August 25th. That’s not all! Following the EP release, Loreen will be heading straight into the promotional campaign for her second full-length studio album. On September 22nd, the lead single from the album is scheduled for release. Loreen’s new full-length album is then due to follow on 17th November. This information was all announced via an official press release. Very exciting times for Loreen fans!

“A new and exciting direction for my music”

On signing with BMG, Loreen said the following:

“For me, 2017 was about establishing a sense of independence and channelling it into a new and exciting direction for my music. I really connected with BMG’s mission to support independent artists in a transparent way but also keeping their creative interests close. When I presented them my vision for the future there was an immediate click and I am really excited to begin this journey between our teams.”

“Her eclectic style can transcend all music genres”

On signing Loreen to BMG Scandinavia, managing director Sanken Sandqvist says:

“We are more than excited to welcome Loreen to BMG. Loreen is a true vocalist, her eclectic style can transcend all music genres, from pop to trance music. Her upcoming album has captured that diversity and we cannot wait to introduce it to her fan community.”

My first memory of watching the Eurovision Song Contest was back in 2001 and, over the years, my passion and enthusiasm for the contest has very much turned into an obsession. I adore music and I love geography, so this contest is a natural fit for me. If la la loving Eurovision was a crime, I'd certainly be a criminal!
