After a week without any Eurostars to celebrate, today we are back with two birthday boys. One of them failed to qualify for the final, the other won the final. One was born only a few years before the other’s Eurovision participation. Though they both performed (at least sort of) uptempo songs, their entries were very different!
Richard Herrey, 53
Richard Herrey is the middle Herrey brother. Together with his brothers Per and Louis he represented Sweden in the 1984 Eurovision Song Contest as Herrerys. They secured the second Swedish win with “Diggi-loo diggi-ley”. Today Richard is the general manager at Herd Rock Café Stockholm, and he is also a politician. This fall he hopes to be elected into the Swedish parliament.

Adrian Lulguraj, 37
Just four years before the Herreys’ win, Adrian Lulguraj was born. He represented Albania in the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö together with Bledar Seiko. They performed the rock entry “Identitet”. However, finishing 15th out of the 17 in their semi-final, they failed to qualify for the final.
All of us here at escXtra send Xtra happy birthday wishes to both Richard and Adrian!
