Eurovision Georgia has revealed that the 2017 Georgian Junior Eurovision representative will be revealed tomorrow (September 8th). Indeed, the lucky act will be given the honour to become the first artist to represent Georgia on home soil. Nevertheless, the song will be revealed at a later date.
The process began in July
Back in July, GPB launched a call for interested artists to submit an application. A number of artists were then shortlisted. Furthermore, these then auditioned in front of a five-person professional jury consisting of the following:
- Davit Evgenidze (Musician)
- Eliso Shengelia (Music Editor)
- Giorgi Asanishvili (Sound Director)
- Maia Baratashvili (Singer)
- Zaza Shengelia (Producer)
A song submission process to take place
Following the revelation of the 2017 Georgian representative tomorrow, composers will be given the chance to submit a song for the chosen act. The entry will then be released in a few weeks time.
The 2017 Junior Eurovision Song Contest will take place in the Georgian capital city of Tbilisi on 26th November. So far, 16 countries have confirmed their participation in the contest. Nevertheless, it is possible that this number could increase in the coming weeks.
