Basim is back with a brand new track! Comme ci comme ça, featuring Gilli, was released a few days ago and has already hit the #1 spot on the Danish Spotify chart! Indeed, the former X Factor star impressively knocked off Justin Bieber & BloodPop’s Friends to achieve the feat.
For those of you expecting a retread of Eurovision hit Cliché Love Song, you will be very much surprised! Comme ci comme ça takes inspiration from Basim’s Moroccan heritage, combining both the Danish language and Arabic within the song. Basim takes the current trend of Latin-inspired upbeat party tracks and puts his very own personal spin on it. It’s sure to be a massive hit over the next few months!
Basim represented Denmark in the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest, hosted in his very own capital city of Copenhagen. The track was a major success finishing in 9th place and charting all over Europe in the weeks that followed.
