An Xtra Happy Birthday; September 14th

Yesterday we congratulated three September ladies. Today we send our greetings to one more lady.  She was born in the US and has a Bahamian descent. She preformed as a part of a duet for Denmark. Debbie Cameron has a birthday today!

Debbie Cameron, 41

After studying music is University of Miami, Debbie moved to Copenhagen. She and Tommy Seebach represented Denmark with the song “”Krøller eller ej (Curls or not)” at Eurovision Song Contest in Dublin 1981. The song is about loving all children regardless of their appearance, thus pleading for global unity. They revived some love back and got 41 points thus placing 11th out of 20 acts.

Just to add a bit of information,  the backing singers were Michael and Ianne Elo, who also performed backing vocals for Denmarks entry in 1979, “Disco Tango“.

We at EscXtra agree with Debbie and the message that we should love all regardless of their appearance. And of course, wish her a happy birthday!
