30 songs shortlisted for Malta’s MESC

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Malta’s PBS (Public Broadcasting Service) has just announced a preliminary list of 30 songs selected for MESC 2018. Sixteen of them will be shortlisted in October for the finale.

The first part of the National Selection

PBS announced that 129 songs were submitted during the summer (between June 30th and September 1st) for MESC 2018 (Malta Eurovision Song Contest), Malta’s national selection. 60 songs were first shortlisted by a panel of judges, then that list was halved to 30. This is the shortlist PBS revealed today.

Yet, the elimination process isn’t over. A last shortlist will take place in the next weeks to decide which songs will go to the finale. 16 entries will compete for the Maltese ticket in February 2018, during the televised finale of MESC. The winner will be decided solely by televote.
